Film Has Changed My Life!

This might come off as superficial, but film has allowed me to capture precious moments while still being able to stay present in them. After every photo, I no longer have the urge to critique and obsess over every pose, angle, lighting, or detail in the pictures I take, but rather I'm swayed to keep living in the moment and just experience life as it is. Film photography steals nothing from the moment that you're in, and that's what intrigues me the most about it.
With film you only get one shot! So it forces me to slow down and really be intentional with the camera. In a world where everything's so fast-paced, the process behind film photography reassures me that it's okay to slow down in life; while I take in precious moments one frame at a time
So much time goes into making one photo, and the delayed part of the gratification: dropping the film off at the store and waiting two weeks for the photos to get be developed, make the pictures I take so much more valuable to me.
I love the slow process of it all!
